Thanks to everyone who came out to skate with me today at Ted Reeve Arena!
We shared hot chocolate and treats; raced around the ice; sang happy birthday to a young constituent; and cheered on a young fellow who was on skates for only his third time, having recently arrived with his mom and dad from Syria. His determination was so inspiring!
Even amid the desire just to have fun though, so many parents are despairing and enraged about cuts to education and autism funding. The organizing never stops.
Tomorrow it’s back to Queen’s Park, wearing black to protest the education funding cuts and increased class sizes. Stay tuned for upcoming town halls and community conversations!
